Erin Burdette, Licensed Massage Therapist, grew up in St. Albans, WV. She graduated from St. Albans High School in 1999 and from West Virginia State University in 2005. From WVSU she received her BA degree in Communications. Erin then graduated from Mountain State School of Massage in 2008. She joined the practice of Dr. J Chiropractic & Wellness Center in June, 2011. Her specialties include Deep Tissue massage, Swedish massage, Trigger Point Therapy and is Certified in Reflexology, Pregnancy & Postpartum Massage, and Raindrop Massage. Erin also assists in the Weight Loss program.
Betty Jo Spencer, Licensed Massage Therapist, grew up in Webster County and graduated from Webster County High School in 1997. She moved to Buffalo, West Virginia, and she graduated from Everest Institute as a massage therapist in 2008. Betty Jo started working at Dr. J Chiropractic & Wellness Center in June, 2011. She has two daughters, Jala and Kendra. Her specialties include Deep Tissue massage, Swedish massage, and Trigger Point therapy. She recently completed a course in neck and back pain. Betty Jo enjoys camping, 4-wheeling, and spending time with her family.
Angelique Valdovinos-Ertl is our youngest staff member. She works as our receptionist and also is a trainer with the weight loss program. Angelique graduated from Poca High School and Concord University with a degree in business marketing. She lives in St. Albans with her spouse, David, and their two small dogs, Minnie and Penny. She likes to spend her spare time cooking and hanging out with her family.
Melinda Kuhn joined the practice in March 2014 as our morning receptionist. Melinda graduated from Dupont High School and West Virginia State University with a BA degree in Psychology. She lives in Cross Lanes with her husband and two sons.
Brandy Buck joined the practic as our afternoon receptionist. Brandy graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 2003. She is from Leon, WV and lives in Buffalo with her husband and son, Corben. She is a big WVU and Dallas Cowboys fan; and enjoys spending time with family.
Joyce McClanahan, receptionist/biller, graduated from Nitro High School, the University of Charleston, and West Virginia University where she received her Master’s Degree in Spanish and French. She was a middle school, high school, and college Spanish teacher for many years. She joined Dr. J Chiropractic & Wellness Center in June, 2009. Joyce has three children, Jill, Jay, and Jon. She lives in Poca with her husband, Jack. Joyce enjoys spending her free time with her granddaughter, Joy. She likes to work out at Nautilus and the YMCA.
